Description

Provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, transportation, superintendence, services, and equipment to complete the Interior/Exterior Improvements at the Main Post Office, Seattle, WA 98101. Estimated cost range is $4M - $5M. Performance period is 270 days. A Preproposal meeting will be conducted at the facility, 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2008, Main Office, 2nd Floor, 301 Union St., Seattle, WA 98108. THIS SOLICITATION IS OPEN TO GENERAL/PRIME CONTRACTORS WHO MEET THE FOLLOWIMG MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (1) Company must have a minimum of five consecutive years experience in this type of work. (2) Company must have completed four comparable projects with the past five years. (3) Company must be capable of obtaining performance and payments bonds for 100% of the contract price for this project. (4) Contractor must perform on the site with its own organization, work equivalent to at least 12 percent of the total amount of work to be performed. (5) Have an established office within 400 mile radius of the project site at the time of this solicitation. If contractor does NOT have an office located within Washington State or within 400 miles of the project location, the contractor must furnish information how the company will administer the contract from its office outside Washington State/400 mile radius. Any award made under this solicitation will be made to the responsible offeror who provides the best overall value to the Postal Service. This is NOT a sealed bid advertisement, and proposals will NOT be publicly opened.
