- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medical Measurements Systems USA of Dover, NH to purchase an Upper GI High Resolution Motility System for the Zablocki VA Medical Center, Milwaukee, WI. The system will include, but not be limited to a.) Comprehensive Patient Database that stores patient demographics for easy patient entry as well as the ability to conduct further analysis on patients or a group of patients; b.) Networking capability that allows the system to be accessed from multiple work stations and not just the acquisition station itself; and c.) Multiple manometry capabilities in one system. The system must perform Anorectal, Sphincter of Oddi, pH Impedance, and Colonic studies all from the same acquisition station. NAICS 339999 - 500 Employees. To the best of our knowledge the MMS System is the only system that has all of the above features integrated into one system. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements is requested to submit clear and convincing evidence of their ability to provide these products. Vendors are required to include but not be limited to manufacturer's brochures, system properties and salient characteristics of the product. Written notification must be submitted to the Contracting Officer on or before the response due date of this synopsis. Information can be sent electronically to the Contracting Officer at paula.scott@va.gov or via mail to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Bldg. 5, 5000 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee WI 53295. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Medical Measurements Systems USA.
