- Description
- The intention of this solicitation is to result in the award of a contract to obtain solid waste collection and disposal services at Naval Air Station, Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, Texas, by means of a combination firm-fixed price and indefinite quanitity contract. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to collect and dispose of solid waste, including the collection and disposal of garbage, ashes, debris, rubbish, and other discarded solid wastes resulting from industrial and commercial sources. Excluded from this function is collection and disposal of: (1) hazardous wastes; (2) solids or dissolved materials in domestic sewage; (3) other pollutants in water resources such as silt and dissolved or suspended solids; and (4) infectious/medical wastes. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 56211 applies.First consideration will be given to 8(a), Hub-Zone and SDVOSB firms. If adequate competition is not received then solicitation will be considered unrestricted without further notice. This requirement will be awarded on the basis of low price, technically acceptable offers. A Pre-Award survey will be conducted on the apparant low bidder prior to award. Solicitation will be available the week of 25 August 2008. Contractors are to have reps and certs available in ORCA, be registered in the CCR, and not listed in the EPLS (Excluded Parties List System).
