Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWCDIVNPT has a requirement for Export & Import Customs Brokerage Services: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is a Department of Defense (DoD) activity mainstreaming underwater technology with the U.S. Military and other allied forces, as well as, commercial activities. Customs brokerage service for the export and import of components is required to meet emergent schedules. The bidder(s) for this contract should be a full service customs organization. The customs house selected must be fully capable of handling the import and export of components, along with all associated transportation requirements. Bidders should anticipate the occasional movement of classified material as part of the requested services. A firm fixed price, time and material, not to exceed type contract is anticipated. All work must be performed in a timely manner and meet all statutory requirements. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number N66604-08-Q-5153 providing further details is anticipated to be released on or about 09/10/2008. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 561990 and Size standard is $6.5M. Evaluation criteria will be technical capability and past performance. The period of performance for the basic requirement is one year from date of award. Four options for a one year period of performance will also be included.
