- The Department of Defense Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) Procurement Division intends to award, on a competitive basis, a single contract for textbook conversion and editing services of the Government furnished books to a KESI format for use with Kurzweil 3000 version 10. The Solicitation Number is HEVAS6-08-T-0021 and is issued as an unrestricted Request for Quote (RFQ). This action incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 2005-26 and DCN 20080812. DDESS is Federal Government agency, an education activity, tax exempt, and qualifies for academic/educational pricing. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals. Interested offerors shall submit their proposals in accordance with the submission instructions contained in the solicitation by 1:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time), Friday, September 5, 2008. Only proposals received within the response timeframe will be considered by the Government. Offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation, all of its supporting documents, and any applicable amendments posted on Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) at http://www.fbo.gov. Amendments may be posted to FedBizOpps up until the response due date. All requests for clarification must be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Barbara La Falce, at: Barbara.lafalce@am.dodea.edu by 1:00 PM EST, Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Telephonic inquiries will not receive a response.
