- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, GA, VISN 7, contemplates negotiation of a sole source procurement with Varian Medical Systems, 660 North McCarthy Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035 for preventive maintenance, full maintenance, and emergency repair service of Varian CL-21EX Linear Accelerator, SN272978 and Varian Eclipse Treatment Planning Systems, SN483510 located at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Decatur, GA. The Period of Performance for this procurement will be October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 plus 4 Option Years. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811219 with a standard size of $6.5 million. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 3 days after publication of this synopsis. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting literature, detailing how their products/services meet VA requirements, to the Contracting Officer or by fax 478-274-5609. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract is based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Solicitation will be issued on or about August 29, 2008. This procurement is subject to the availability of FY09 funds.
