- This is the third public announcement regarding ADS-B Air to Air Capabilities-acceleration of Surface Conflict Detection and Cockpit Alert Capabilities. Identification of Performance Requirements. A previous Public Announcement was posted August 7, 2008 which included a draft ATSA SURF IA document dated August 7, 2008. (Enhanced Traffic Situational Awareness on the Airport Surface with Indications and Alerts). That document is attached hereto as Attachment 1. In preparation for the announced industry day on September 3, 2008, FAA welcomes comments on the draft document by August 29, 2008. Comments should be submitted to: 1. Steve.Manley@faa.gov 2.
