- Description
- The Contractor shall analyze the impacts of migrating the Fire Control System to support IP v6 in the Weapon System Workstation Linux and VxWorks Real Time Operating System environments. The Contractor shall conduct a proof of concept demonstration in each of these environments. Negotiations will be conducted with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. GDAIS is the sole manufacturer of the TRIDENT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control System and Attack Weapons Control System and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
