- The U.S. Army, JM&L LCMC Acquisition Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ on behalfof the PEO Ammo/Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systemsanticipates issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the manufacture anddelivery of 81mm M24 Mortar Cartridge Fins on or about 19 May 2008 to supportthe 81mm High Explosive and Full Range Practice Mortar Cartridge programs. The anticipated RFP will be a fixed price contract for a one year basic contract award quantity of approximately 217,307 M24 Fins with four evaluated/priced options for estimated quantities of up to approximately 1.9 million M24 Fins. The fins are a two-piece design (fin pressed fit onto the housing). The fins are made from aluminum fin extrusions and housing from aluminum rod. Anticipated maximum per month delivery requirement will require producers to manufacture up to 50,000 fins. The government plans offering this requirement on a full and open competition basis. The deadline for all proposals will be 30 days after issuance of the RFP. There is a technical data package which may be provided on CD-ROM to any interested offerors provided a Non-Disclosure Form is signed and on file. All interested parties will also be required to submit and approved DD Form 2345 Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. The DD Form 2345 can be obtained at: www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. At the top of the website page, open Library on the blue bar. Scroll down to the other forms section on the page and double click of DD 2345. The above referenced TDP will not be released until a signed and approved DD Form 2345 is received along with the Non-Disclosure Form.
