- Description
- The work consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to replace the warm air furnace located in the dams intake control tower and replace a hot water heating boiler on the project office building at Hop Brook Lake, Middlebury, Connecticut. The new furnace shall be an Energy Star listed, No. 2 oil-fired upflow type warm air furnace with a minimum bonnet output capacity of 140,000 Btu/hr and a minimum AFUE of 83%. The new boiler shall be Energy Star listed with a minimum I=B=R rated capacity of 125,000 Btu/hr and a minimum AFUE of 85%, designed to burn No. 2 fuel oil. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation will be available on or about 4 September 2008 and will be available for downloading by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities website (http://www.fbo.gov) which links to the FedTeds website (see below). Prospective contractors are required to self register their firm on the Internet to receive this solicitation. Registration instructions are available on the internet at https://www.fedteds.gov. Amendments, if any, will be available at this Internet site. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests will be accepted. Registrants are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the registration list. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $13,000,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the New England District.
