- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N68836-08-T-3504 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) Total Set-aside for Small Business. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-04. The simplified acquisition procedures of FAR Part 13 are applicable to this procurement. 0001 Repair/Service - DC Traction MotorLocation - Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SC. Contractor shall dismantle & inspect all components; steam clean and bake field frame; strip armature & remove commutator; test and repair armature and commutator; rewind armature; varnish treat field frame and reinstall commutator; turn and undercut; dynamically balance armature; recondition brush rings; supply new brushes and bearings; install new grommets and assembly all components, test and paint. Contractor MUST BE REGISTERED IN CCR.http://www.ccr.gov Delivery point: Naval Weapons Station, Charleston, SCInterested vendors must submit offers no later than 10:00 AM 11 September 2008 in order to be considered.
