- Replace steel-backed timber guardrail and timber support posts The principle work includes all equipment, labor, materials and supplies needed to remove damaged steel-backed timber guardrail segments and timber support posts, total quantity approximately 60 linear feet, and furnish and install new steel-backed timber guardrail segments and timber support posts. The work of this contract is located at MD Route 198 East off-ramp from the North-bound Baltimore-Washington Parkway, Prince Georges County, MD. An award will be made in accordance with Public Law 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, and set aside for an Emerging Small Business. Quotations under this acquisition are solicited from emerging small business concerns only. Quotations that are not from an emerging small business shall not be considered and shall be rejected. All contractors experienced in this type of construction work may compete for this contract. Estimated project magnitude is less than $25,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 237310 with a small business size of $33.5 million of annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. A small business concern is defined as a concern (including all of its subsidiaries) having less than or equal to $33.5 million annual average gross revenues of the total concern for the last 3 fiscal years. The request for quotation (RFQ) will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about September 2, 2008. TELEPHONE OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Contractors must register on the website in order to retrieve copies of the RFQ and any possible amendments. Instructions are contained on the website for downloading the RFQ and attachments. It is the responsibility of all interested contractors to acknowledge all amendments to the RFQ. To download the RFQ all interested offerors must have a DUNS number. To receive a DUNS number please contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505. All quotes shall be provided in paper format, prepared in accordance with section L of the RFQ, and delivered by the U.S. mail, hand carried or emailed to Ronald_Palau-Hernandez@nps.gov by 4 PM Local Prevailing Time, September 16, 2008.
