THIS REQUIREMENT IS SOLE SOURCE TO WHITTAKER CORP., CONTROLS DIV.FD2030-09-80245.NSN: 4810-01-535-5591 P/N: 736262BPotential MYC AVG BEQ: 9MIN: 2MAX: 14 Noun: BUTTERFLY VALVEItem Description: The APU isolation shut-off valve isolates the APUengine start circuit from the rest of the bleed air system. During thenormal APU engine start sequence, the isolation valves remain closed.This directs all APU air flow, or ground cart air flow, to the startsystem of that nacelle. During cross ship bleed engine starts, the APUisolation shut-off valve is commanded open. This allows pressurized airfrom the opposite nacelle to flow to the air start system of thatparticular nacelle. DIMENSIONS ARE: Length 11.3 in. Width 8.0 in.Height 5.0 in. Material: Item is made of Aluminum and Steel. Delivery: 30 September 2009.Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered foraward. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining furtherinformation on this requirement. QR's apply. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors orpotential Offerors during the proposal development phase of thisacquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish theauthority of the program director or contracting officer, but tocommunicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, andrecommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
