Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for three SeaSonde Tx lowpass filter (12/13 MHz) Codar Ocean Sensors, Ltd. Part Number 4065, two SeaSonde Tx lowpass filter (25 MHz) Codar Ocean Sensors, Ltd. Part 4069 and one SeaSonde 25 MHz combined Tx/Rx antenna (not including whips or mast). Delivery shall be made F.O.B. Destination to Silver Spring, Maryland within 45 days after award. This acquisition will be accomplished using simplified acquisition procedures through the issuance of Request for Quotation (RFQ) DG133W-08-RQ-1180. It is anticipated that this RFQ will be issued on September 5, 2008 and close on September 15, 2008. This RFQ is being posted on FedBizOpps. The anticipated award date is September 18, 2008. NOAA expects to negotiate this acquisition on a sole source basis with Codar Ocean Sensors, Ltd. because Codar Ocean Sensors, Ltd. is the sole current manufacturer of these parts, and NOAA does not possess drawings of these parts which can be used for reprocurement purposes. These parts are replacements for parts that originally came from Codar Ocean Sensors, Ltd. but were damaged in lightning storms. Although NOAA expects that only Codar Ocean Sensors, Ltd. can provide the required parts, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation (not later than the closing date of the RFQ), which shall be considered by NOAA.
