Description

The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency/ Missile and Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC), Building 4545, Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5500 intends to issue a contract with General Dynamics C4 Systems, 8201 East McDowell Road, MD R6206, Scottsdale, AZ 85257. The purpose is to purchase a quantity of seventy eight VIPC1000XA SCCP Protocol vIPer telephones. The phones are manufactured by General Dynamics and they are the only known source of the vIPer telephone that can meet the COMSEC requirements. MSIC is in the process of transitioning to a Voice Over IP (VOIP) telephone system as a complete replacement for the existing PSTN/ISDN system. The vIPer telephone has the specific technology set required to be compatible with the new MSIC VOIP system. FAR provisions and clauses 52.212-4 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS (FEB 2007), 52.212-5 CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS REQUIRED TO IMPLEMENT STATUTES OR EXECUTIVE ORDERS-COMMERCIAL ITEMS(MAR 2007) are applicable. All proposals must be received by 1600 Central Daylight Savings Time 15 Sep 08 and must be quoted FOB Destination.
