Description
US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), on behalf of the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), has a requirement to purchase a Vitros 350 Chemistry Analyzer. USAMRAA intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. The intent is to make a sole source award pursuant to FAR 6.302(a) (1) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics is uniquely qualified to provide a Vitros 350 Chemistry Analyzer. It is essential that the equipment to be purchased is capable of a test methodology that eliminates the need to purchase and store hazardous chemicals. The equipments must also be capable of waste production that is non-hazardous reducing risk of exposure and ease of disposal with ease of use. The equipment must also not require drainage or liquid waste receptacles for the facility requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document exists. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated required product within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer by way of the Contract Specialist within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated product within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist, Jennifer Jackson, at jennifer.jackson1@us.army.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract.
