- It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available for download no later than 30 September 2008. Seattle District requires the conversion of two (2) existing high pressure CO2 fire suppression systems to a fine water mist system for the oil storage room, oil purification room and station service transformer vault at Chief Joseph Dam near Bridgeport, Washington. The contractor, shall design, furnish and install the new water mist system to include new fire alarm control panel, fire pump (if applicable), control valves, new water supply piping from water potable water supply to the water mist equipment, and new discharge piping from control valves to hazard areas. The work includes providing a new medium voltage vacuum transfer switch, secondary unit substation, and 5kV feeders. This procurement is open to both large and small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $31 million. For the purposes of this procurement, a firm is a small business if its annual average gross revenue, ta ken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $31 million. Follow the registration procedures at this site to receive notification of solicitation/amendment posting. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the solicitation, including plans and specs will be available for download no earlier than 15 days following the posting of this synopis. Pursuant to FAR, the response date of the solicitation is no earlier than 30 days from the date of the solicitation release date. Note that all dates are approximate. The proposal due date will be noted on the solicitation at the time of issue. There is no technical information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet.
