- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Proposals, warranty information and price quotations are being requested. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. This acquisition is a total small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are 337214 and the related small business size standard is 500 employees. STATEMENT OF WORK 1. SCOPE 1-1.MTARNG to purchase proper ergonomic chairs that are able to fit a wide range of personnel. Chair design contributes to the comfort and productivity of the workers. The chair can be a critical factor in preventing back fatigue as well as improving employee performance and efficiency. To reduce this risk, a worker must be able to sit and maintain the spine in a neutral posture. A properly designed and adjusted chair is essential to maintaining a neutral posture. MTARNG anticipates purchasing up to 70 chairs depending on funds available. 2. PURPOSE / REQUIREMENTS 2-1. The requirements of the chairs must meet the following: a. Color: Universal Color, all black for continuity and breathable translucent mesh back. b. Adjustable lumbar support, must adjust up and down to rest in the lumber area of several height ranges and also at least zero to one inch in depth. c. Arm rest must adjust up down, in and out at base to allow for a 25 inch seating area. It also adjusts inward at top of arm rest to allow for various work areas. d. Height adjustment: The chair must come with a 7inch pneumatic height adjustment for taller individuals. e. Seat pan must be adjustable in and out and the front area must tilt upward. f. All adjustments must be able to be made from seated position. g. Must be current year model. h. Must be shipped FOB Destination. i. Evaluation of Commercial Items will be in accordance with FAR provision 52.212-2. Proposals will be reviewed to determine which one represents the greatest value, price and other factors considered. Award will not necessarily be made to the lowest priced offeror, but rather the one that offers the best value to the Montana National Guard in terms of the following evaluation criteria: 1. Ability to meet the technical requirements. Provide spec sheets and/or other documentation to ensure requirements stated in the statement of work are met. 2. Warranty and Price. The evaluation criteria are listed in descending order of importance. Price will be a factor in the award decision, although the award may not necessarily be made to that offeror submitting the lowest price. Proposal submission requirements follow: All quotations shall be submitted in an original and one copy for receipt no later than 4:00 p.m., Mountain Standard Time, September 19, 2008, and be clearly marked with Request For Quotation Number W9124VT0011. Offerors are hereby notified that if your quotation is not received by the date and time and at the location specified in this announcement that it will be considered late. Offers must be submitted by hard copy to the USPFO for Montana, ATTN: CPT Lende, Purchasing and Contracting, 1956 Mt Majo Street, Post Office Box 4789, Fort Harrison, Montana 59636-4789.
