- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to procure a ScanScope System w/Spectrum Device License from Aperio Technologies of Vista, CA which includes the following components:1)ScanScope CS Slide Scanner2)Spectrum Device License for CS3)Warranty and Support4)Onsite Installationand Training5)CS/GL ScanScope User Guide Contractors equipment shall have:1)capacity to scan 5 slides at one time, or two-double size (macro-mount) slides at one time.2)Offer single non-tiff image that is non-proprietary and can be analyzed by other packages. Image files of 300MB in size in the modified jpeg2000 format, and manipulated by desktop machines. 3)Real 20X objective and 40X objective and/or 20X with doubler optical light path4)Web-based database and server capacity to share images5)Operational control of embedded meta-data including slide label images with capacity to block information from some users. This equipment will enable researchers to acquire images from pathology slides obtained by kidney, liver, and gastrointestinal research. To the best of the Governments knowledge Aperio Technologies is the only vendor that can provide this requirement. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. It is anticipated that the NIHDK2008136 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is September 24, 2008. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Patricia Haun at National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 779, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 or via FAX (301) 480-4226. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All requests for quotation must include a valid email address.
