Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to procure from Picoquant Photonics North America of Westfield, MA:1)C/N 930010 Hydra Harp 400- Mainframe: Picosecond event time; Syn module up to 150MHz, 2)C/N 930015 Hydra Harp 500 TDC Module: Two channel TDC module, independent channels This equipment is required for ongoing studies of protein folding by single molecule methods and will be used as part of an existing single molecule confocal microscope setup. This equipment shall be utilized to record the arrival times of individual photons emitted from the fluorescent dyes labeled to proteins.To the best of the Governments knowledge Picoquant Photonics North America is the only vendor that can provide this requirement. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This solicitation is not a Small Business Set-Aside. It is anticipated that the NIHDK2008135 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is September 24, 2008. All interested parties to this solicitation may request a copy of the RFQ package in writing to the attention of Patricia Haun at National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases 6707 Democracy Blvd., Room 779, Bethesda, Maryland 20817 or via FAX (301) 480-4226. FAX quotations must contain offerors name, address, telephone number and fax number. FAX quotations will be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All requests for quotation must include a valid email address.
