- The existing spillway at Lake Seminole consists of 16 spillway gates across a 766 ft. Dam. Each bridge section spans approximately (47-10 X 7-10.25), is framed by 3x 3 x 0.25 steel angle, and is supported by I beams along each side. The scope of this project is for the purchase and delivery of Heavy Duty, Welded Bar Steel Grating (W-19-4), Bearing bar size 3x 3/8 (96 Sections), All ends load banded, Non-serrated, Galvanized, Carbon steel A36, LL = 1100 psf for 8 ft span, Section Modulus/ft of width = 5.684, Weight 41.1 psf +-, Total Bearing Bar Span Length shall be 93.75 (Including Banding), Cross Bars shall be 1 x 3/8 or equal Grating shall be Shop Welded to provide fabricated sections with final outside dimensions of 93.75 x 95.0 wide, with flush crossing bars on the outer edges, to replace the existing concrete grating bridge material within the framed area of each bridge section and Galvanized T bars,(3 x 2.75 x 2.75 x 0.25) (80 Pieces), Galvanized, Carbon steel A36, Length = 8 each. The total measured bridge span is 574 (Angle Frame - Inside Dimension) for (16 spans). Each span shall consist of six (6) equal sections along with 0.25 T-bar supports between each section. All dimensions above allow 0.25 to 0.50 gap at edge supports and obstructions. All grating and T bars shall be new, as specified and delivered f.o.b. to the Jim Woodruff Powerhouse, located at Lake Seminole, in Chattahoochee, Florida. It is required that the successful bidder have a Manufacturers Representative visit the site to confirm all dimensions and quantities to be fabricated and delivered, prior the start of any manufacturing. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates whose average number of employees does not exceed 500 for the past three (3) years under NAICS 332323.
