Description
Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with WR Medical Electronics CO for a TestWorks Autonomic Function Lab. The TestWorks Autonomic Function Lab is the only commercially available system that has integrated system for evaluation of autonomic dysfunction, syncope, orthostatic intolerance, diabetic autonomic neuropathy, sympathetically maintained pain, and distal small fiber neuropathy; ability to perform QSART (Quantitative Sudomotor Axon Reflex Test) for sympathetic cholinergic function. To the best of our knowledge WR Medical Electronics CO is the exclusive distributor of this system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 PM CST on September 12, 2008. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with a sole source negotiation with WR Medical Electronics CO.
