- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure 100 UPS Rechargeable Batteries, which include delivery, installation, and recycling of old batteries. The Batteries shall be the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) materials. The following items are: CLIN 0001 - (40 each) Data Safe HX400-FR batteries located in Liebert UPS Tag No. 1302823/24 (OEM) Enersys; CLIN 0002 - (30 each) UPS12-310FR batteries located in Liebert UPS Tag No. 1223288/89 (OEM) C&D Technologies, Inc.; CLIN 0003 - (30 each) UPS12-310FR batteries located in Liebert UPS Tag No. 1223292/93(OEM) C&D Technologies, Inc. Liebert UPSs will need to be placed in bypass while batteries are being switched and put back on line upon completion. All work will be closely coordinated with the end user (building access, generator on-line during work, and checkout). No comparable parts or brand names are acceptable to ensure correct power capacity. The items shall be delivered, installed by 22 October 2008. This acquisition will be Firm Fixed-Priced contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). This announcement constitutes the only synopsis; a written solicitation will not be issued. All items shall be delivered, inspected, and accepted FOB destination to JWAC, 18405 Frontage Road Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. The synopsis number is N00178-08-Q-3703; inquires shall be directed to XDS13-19 at (540) 653-7037 or fax (540) 653-6810 or via email at andre.lowman@navy.mil. The closing date is 19 September 2008 at 2p.m. EDT. The North American Industry Classification System code is 335911 with a standard size of 500 employees. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren Laboratory Procurement Division has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition arena; therefore, this synopsis/solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at Http://www.nswc.navy.mil/wwwDL/XD/SUPPLY/. DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) database. Registration may be accomplished by accessing CCR via Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. A paper registration form may be obtained from DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-888-227-2423. Please note that defense payment office may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT).
