Description
Synopsis:Added: Aug 04, 2008 3:12 pm The Portland VA Medical Center (PVAMC) intends to negotiate a sole source buy with Jali Medical Inc.., of Woburn, MA for a Magstim Super Rapid Package including system components, in connection with mission objectives of the Portland VA Medical Center, Oregon. To the best of our knowledge Jali Medical, Inc.. is the only manufacturer of a system that provides (a) non-invasive and painless method of exciting neurons using strong, time varying magnetic fields generated by a stimulating coil and held close to the intended site of stimulation; (b) able to stimulate the human cortex, spinal roots and peripheral nerves; (c) excite or inhibit nerve responses.; (d) rapid rate stimulation, biphasic systems are used due to their ability to produce short and efficient pulses; (e) magnetic stimulators are widely compatible and can be used in conjunction with equipment such as MRI, fMRI, EMG, EEG, and TMS Navigation in order to elicit, record and monitor brain activity. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The resulting contract will be firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 334510 This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements aforementioned, then firms must furnish detailed information about its products and or services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and or services. This information must be submitted to the Contracting Officer within (9) calendar days from the date of this synopsis publication. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement, to include FDA approval/compliance certification. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, 5115 NE 82nd Avenue Suite 203 Room 3 Vancouver, WA 98662 or via fax to (360)256-0936. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the PVAMC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Jali Medical, Inc..
