Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotations shall include proposed delivery in days, pricing for the item(s) with shipping included in unit price, the company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number. The solicitation reference number is F4A3618240AG01. This acquisition will be a 100% small business set-aside; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336312. The business size standard is 750 employees. All items are Ward Diesel Filter System, Inc. brand name or equal. ITEM 0001 - QTY 3 EA, NO SMOKE diesel exhaust removal systems that is apparatus mounted system, direct source capture system that works automatically and also meets and exceeds OSHA, NIOSH, and NFPA standards for fire house air quality within the enclosed structure. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: MFG: WARD DIESEL ***This device system, will contain (extract) the toxic particulate (soot) being emitted from internal combustion engines and meet all applicable federal, state, and local standards. Apparatus-mounted required six systems to fully protect the firefighters. ***The system shall remove all visible smoke from the exhaust whenever the vehicle is in reverse gear. ***The system shall protect the engine by automatically preventing itself from activating when back pressure exceeds 1.8 PSI. At 1.5 PSI an indicator light on the cab dash shows that the filter requires changing. ***The filter shall be made of a porous ceramic material measuring 11.25 inches in diameter and 14 inches long, designed and manufactured specifically to filter (soot) from diesel exhaust for a minimum of 30 filter operating hours. *** The filter should be encased in stainless steel with a high-temperature cushioning material. ***The diverter unit shall be installed in the existing exhaust pipe and shall direct the engine exhaust through the filter element or through the muffler. ***The electronic control module, which drives the diverter unit, features a circuit board housed in a small (5" x 6" x 8") metal enclosure. *** The installation shall be completed and tested at the customer's location and the operation and maintenance of the system is by the personnel who will be responsible for routine maintenance. ***Provide a written warranty for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. This Purchase Request is for a contract conditioned on the availability of funds IAW FAR 52.232-18 This request for quotation consists of the following items, -or equal-: If submitting an -or equal- product, please supply manufacturer name and part number, and specifications if available. If equal, vendor must provide information with quote proving the equality of the items. Technical acceptability of or equal products shall be determined by the government. All quotes must reflect FOB Destination. IAW provision 52.212-2 Evaluation - Commercial Items, the following methods of evaluation will be used in order of importance: technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement and price.
