- Description
- Provide Architectural Engineering Design services to provide Complete Computer Room Re-Design and Improvement, Hines ITC - Building 215, Hines, IL. This work includes providing survey of existing building, creation of a comprehensive project SOW, initial budgetary cost estimates for the entire scope of the project, project scheduling, drawings, specifications and construction services necessary to renovate and redesign the ~15,000 sq. ft. computer room in Hines ITC. Work could include transformers, switchgear, building structural modifications, low voltage electrical, electrical busway, HVAC water cooling loops, HVAC capacity, UPS capacity, large power monitoring systems, structured cabling plant, computer room racks, cable trays, security. Project will be split into three main portions to allow for the A/E to adjust for the cost of the project based on budgetary estimates from the survey. Three parts include (1) a survey and estimate, (2) Scope of work, design, specifications and drawings, (3) construction period services. Initial estimate of the cost for the project is projected to be between $2,000,000 - $3,500,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by October 10, 2008. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with existing data center renovation projects, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work, (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs, (5) Geographic location and facilities of the working office. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds. At the time of advertisement, funding is available.
