Description
The original synopsis for this effort is replaced in its entirety as follows: The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) intends to issue a modification to contract N61331-08-C-0014 to Complete Parachute Systems (CPS). Under contract N61331-08-C-0014, CPS is manufacturing and delivering multi-mission and other type parachute equipment. The USMC has identified a need for training to support the multi-mission parachute equipment and for delivery of an additional forty (40) main canopy parachutes Part Number CPS-MP-360 M2C. The Government intends to add two training classes to contract N61331-08-C-0014 for USMC personnel. CPS, as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the parachutes, is the only source with the prerequisite experience, knowledge, and expertise required to successfully perform this requirement. Unrecoverable duplicative costs and unacceptable schedule delays would result if award were made to any source other than CPS. Th! erefore, this acquisition is unsuitable for full and open competition. Delivery of training will be made to the Naval Support Activity - Panama City, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7018. Other sources interested in qualifying their products for future acquisitions should contact Kevin Lang at 850-235-5485. NAICS 314999. FSC 1670. The award will be based on an acceptable proposal on or about 30 Sep 2008. SBA Size Standard is 500 Employees.
