Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-22. The solicitation number is Q9512080029, and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 212321 with an associated small business size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation is a small business set-aside. This solicitation will result in an award of a firm, fixed-price contract. The National Park Service has a requirement for a single contractor to supply and deliver approximately 1,000 to 1,200 tons of 1 inch crushed gravel. DESCRIPTION/ SPECIFICATIONS: 1 inch crushed gravel must meet the WSDOT 2008 specifications for Crushed Rock Surfacing for Roads and Bridges. The WSDOT 2008 specifications are available on the internet at the following website address: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/publications/manuals/M41-10.htm. The gravel needs to be stockpiled in the vicinity of the Elwha Ranger Station complex. The stockpile location can accommodate delivery using a truck and transfer pup. The contractor will be responsible for bunching the stockpile to prevent material loss and minimize the stockpile footprint. Delivery can be scheduled anytime after contractor receives the notice of award, and continue until all material is delivered. The contractor shall supply copies of weight/quarry tickets showing the type of material, quantity, delivery date, and contract number attached to corresponding invoices. DELIVERY: The stockpile location is within 1/16 of a mile from the Elwha Ranger Station in Olympic National Park, off of Highway 101 on Whiskey Bend Road. PRICE SCHEDULE: unit price of $__________ per ton, delivered (estimating 1,000 to 1,200 tons). The government will award as many tons as possible with available funds. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this solicitation. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. Award will be made on the basis of "best value" to the contractor that the Government determines can best satisfy the objectives and requirements of this Request for Quotations, in a manner most advantageous to the Government.
