- The Government intends to award a sole source FFP contract to Motorola Inc., 7031 Columbia Gateway Drive, 3rd Floor, Columbia, Maryland 21046. Motorola is the sole major manufacturer of the encryption devices that will work with the Motorola WiMAX system being installed next year at the US Army Electronic Proving Ground. This requirement is for the following equipment parts list: CryptR-Rack mounted - 38 each; PN: MOTO-001, Encryption device. 1 each; PN: TRN7342A, Rack. CryptR-Vehicle mounted - 73 each, PN: MOTO -002, Encryption device. Key Variable loader - 1 each; PN: T6717, Hardware. 1 each; PN: U239AC, ASN Mode. 1 each; PN: X795AH, AES Encryption Software. 1 each; PN: CA00182AA, Encryption Software. 1 each; PN: C543, Cable. 1 each; PN: HKTN4004B, Charger Kit. 1 each; PN: 6881132E41, User Guide. Ancillary - 4 each; PN: F599ASP35023, Switch Hub. 1 each; PN: 7342A, Rack. EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS: CryptR-Rack mounted, MOTO-001-CryptR with hardware and accessories, AES-128 include AC/DC power supply. TRN7342A-7 inc open racks-24 shelf. CryptR-vehicle mounted, MOTO-002-CryptR with hardware and accessories, ENC: AES-128 includes DC power cord. Key Variable loader, T6717- KVL 3000 Plus Hardware, U239AC- Astro 25 mode capability, X795AH- ASN Mode capability, CA00182AA, AES Encryption software, C543-cable for RNC, DIU, MGEG, HKTN4004B- Charger kit 110V, 6881132E29- User guide for KVL3000. Ancillary - F5999ASP35023, Switch hub: 3COM super stack 24 port 10/100Base-TX, and TRN7342A- 7ft open racks to mount switches. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a Request for Quotations and no solicitation will be issued. This is full and open competition and NAICS code is 334220.
