- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The 20th Contracting Squadron, 20 CONS/LGCAA at Shaw AFB, South Carolina intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a 100 percent total Small Business Set-Aside Firm-Fixed Price contract for Installation and Removal of Carpet. This acquisition is under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quotation is being requested, and a written request for quotation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) FA4803-08-Q-A295A. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238330, with small business standard size $13 million. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This requirement is for: Service nonpersonal: Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, material, transportation and supervision to install new and remove old carpet and covebase in Building 702. The carpet is approximately 3,375 square yards; the covebase is approximately 4,000 linear feet. The Contractor is responsible for field measuring of carpet to insure exact amount of carpet and covebase required to complete this installation. The measurements given are an estimate. Contractor shall install in a professional manner as per the attached Statement of Work. Contractor is responsible for all field measurements and must do a site measurement before bidding.
