- This announcement is to provide notification of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to enter into a sole source contract with Immersion Medical for a simulator center. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113 and the Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Any interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide a similar system. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements must provide written notification to the Contracting Officer by Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 4:00 PM. Information should be sent to Shirley Whitby at Shirley.whitby@va.gov Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received the Department of Veteran Affairs will proceed with the intended consignment agreement.
