Combined Synopsis/Solicitation (Heavy Equipment Rental) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). RFQ # M67399-09-Q-0001 The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-18. This is a restricted purchase set-aside for 100% Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 532412. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) for this order is 7359. The small business size standard is 500 EMP. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) for this order is W085. This solicitation is for the rental of heavy equipment for an upcoming range project. The equipment for CLIN 0001 & CLIN 0002 will be leased from Oct 1, 2008 to Oct 15, 2008. CLIN 0003, CLIN 0004 & CLIN 0005 will be leased from Oct 1, 2008 to Oct 30, 2008. The end-user has requested that all equipment wheels will have 50% of tire tread wear or better, and all cabs must be enclosed with air conditioning/heating. The end user is also looking for a flat rate vice hourly rate. CLIN 0001 will need to be dropped off at Range 220 on Oct 1st, then picked up from range 220 and delivered to Bldg 2155 on Oct 8th and then a final pick up on Oct 15th from Bldg 2155. CLIN 0002 will need to be dropped off and picked up at Range 210 DAC Bullion Training area. CLIN 0003-0005 Items will be delivered to Bldg 2155 to and then escorted to the Rifle Range aboard Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command Twenty-nine Palms, CA. The following intels the size and the quantity of what is ! needed, please note that the bare minimums are listed. All items quoted must meet or exceed requirements': CLIN 0001- Qty: 1: D8 Dozer, enclosed cab with Air Conditioning and rippers. All tires need to have at least 50% tread wear or better.CLIN 0002- Qty: 1: Equivalent to a 325C CAT excavator, enclosed cab with Air Conditioning, thumb and blast shield Grade 4 (12" thickness). CLIN 0003- Qty: 2: Equivalent toa 966G CAT front end loader with 5 Yard combo bucket, enclosed cab with air conditioning and 50% tread wear or better on all tires. CLIN 0004- Qty: 1: 35 Ton articulated rock dump truck with enclosed cab and air conditioning. 50% tread wear or better on all tires.CLIN 0005-Qty: 1: 160H Cat Road grader with enclosed cab with air conditioning, rippers and 50% tread wear or better.CLIN 0006-Delivery and pick up charges. Please note that CLIN 0001-0002 will need to be moved as well as picked up and dropped off (see above description). Place of contract delivery will be Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC)/Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force Training Command (MCAGTFTC) Twentynine Palms, CA. The winner of this award is required to be registered with, understand, and invoice through Wide Area Workflow.
