- PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, 610 Dowell St, Keyport, WA 98345 1.INTRODUCTION: Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Keyport requires contractor services to supply and maintain a Deionized water system. The system is to purify tap water for use in cleaning and rinsing from a single sink faucet and attached hose. All deionized water systems must meet the water quality standard specifications of the American Society for Testing Materials Type I water. Output water purity is to be 16 to 18 megohm-cm. Flowrate is to be 3 gallons/minute minimum. Monthly system usage is approximately 100 gallons of water. The contractor must have a demonstrated capability to perform these tasks. 2.SERVICE REQUIRED: Work and services to be performed are subject to the requirements and standards contained in this SOW. The contractor shall provide all equipment, materials, and labor to accomplish these requirements. 2.1SCHEDULE AND FREQUENCY OF SERVICE2.1.1Start Date: The period of performance for this effort is Date of Award for a period of one year. Services shall commence in FY2009 (estimated beginning 10/1/08) and shall be in effect for the period of performance specified in paragraph 7. Three one (1) year options may be exercised per FAR Clause 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract.2.1.2Frequency: The vendor shall maintain the system and shall service all equipment on a 180 day cycle.2.1.3Response Time: The vendor shall provide notification to NUWC Keyport in advance of routine service calls, and perform services at a time and date agreeable to the Government and within the parameters specified in paragraph 6. Vendor services shall include a 24-hour response time during normal working hours for any system problems.2.2DESCRIPTION OF TASKS TO BE PERFORMED: 2.2.1Contractor shall supply the following equipment (all equipment will remain the property of the contractor):2.2.1.1(1 each) 5-micron pre-filter cartridge, 20" spun polypropylene2.2.1.2(1 each) activated carbon filter bed, 1.2 cubic feet2.2.1.3(2 each) mixed bed resin filters, 1.2 cubic feet2.2.1.4(1 each) 1-micron post-filter cartridge, 20" spun polypropylene2.2.1.5(1 each) Quality indicator light2.2.1.6All interconnecting hoses within this system (from the pre-filter through to the post-filter)2.2.2All equipment shall be replaced within a 180 day period to ensure water purity is maintained.2.2.3Contractor is responsible for installation, connection, and removal of all components. The vendor will perform initial tank set-up and routine tank replacement. 2.2.4Location: Vendor shall report to Bldg. 81, site of the DI (de-ionization) water system, for installation, servicing, and removal operations.3.CONTRACTOR DELIVERABLES:3.1Perform services as specified in this SOW.3.2Supply equipment as specified in paragraph 2.2.1 of this SOW.3.3Replace equipment on a 180 day cycle.3.4Post a service record or provide documentation to indicate date of servicing.4.PERFORMANCE STANDARD AND ACCEPTABLE QUALITY LEVEL: The contractor will provide services in conformance with all specifications and requirements outlined in this SOW; 100% of the time.5.SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: Vendor employees accessing NUWC Keyport must have U.S. citizenship and process through the NUWC Keyport Pass & ID Office. All visitors must have a completed I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification - Citizenship Declaration) Form from their employer and two pieces of identification.6.LOCATION OF SERVICES: Services shall be performed at NUWC Keyport, Washington. Hours of service to be: 0800 to 1500 Monday through Thursday excluding Federal Holidays.7.PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance for this contract is one (1) year with three one (1) year options.8.CONTRACT MONITORING: The Government will monitor contract performance and conformance by a Contracting Officer's Representative surveillance.
