Description
The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), FAA Flight Technologies and Procedures Division, Flight Operations Simulation Analysis Branch, AFS-405A has a requirement for the acquisition of the Upgrade to Tropos 6000 IG System of their B737 simulator; in support of their mission in the National Airspace System (NAS). National Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511. Based upon the requiring offices' justification for single source acquisition; The IG and projectors provided by CAE shall allow the FAA to opt for future upgrades of the existing visual structures and optics leading to the increase of its current FOV to up to 210 degrees. This will significantly and directly aid FAA research, evaluation, and development for the Next Generation of the Air Transportation system planned for 2009-2025. The FAA herein announces its intention to award a Firm Fixed Price Requirements Type Contract to CAE Inc for $465,200.00 USD. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU), has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
