Description
NAICS Code: 812930 The US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Criminal Investigations Division (CID) intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order to the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. The estimated value of the order is $49,920.00 for 12months. The period of performance will be October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 with four one-year option periods. The purpose of this purchase order is to obtain fourteen (14) secured parking spaces with 24-hour per day access to the parking area for Government law enforcement vehicles in the support of the EPA in Washington, DC. The EPA office is located at 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. This action will be processed in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) as it was determined that the circumstances of the contract action deemed only one source reasonably available. The justification is as follows. Secure parking spaces are required for government owned or leased law enforcement vehicles. Access to the parking area is required at all times (24 hours per day). If parking cannot be provided on-site, it should be located within a two block radius of the office. Preference will be given to secured, covered, on-site parking. The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center is the only vendor that can provide parking that meets these requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA's requirements as stated herein may submit a capabilities statement, which will be considered only if received by 4 pm EST on Friday, September 26, 2008. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to Rachel Schwartz by e-mail to schwartz.rachel@epa.gov. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a compeititve procurement. Any questions concerning this announcement should be directed to Rachel Schwartz via e-mail by close of business Tuesday, September 23, 2008.
