- Description
- NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal for 2 Star Tracker Units for theGlobal Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Project. The scope of work for this procuremententails the Contractor providing the facilities, personnel, services, tools, equipment,and materials to deliver the Star Tracker Units in accordance with the Statement of Work,Specification, and Deliverable Items List and Schedule. These items will be providedwith issuance of the RFP. This procurement will be a full and open competition. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.See Note26.The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 336419 and 1,000, respectively. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about October 3, 2008 with ananticipated offer due date of on or about November 3, 2008.An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over theInternet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may beaccessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/GSFCBusiness Opportunities home page ishttp://nais.msfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=51 Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It isthe offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of thesolicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any referencednotes may be viewed at the following URLs linked below.
