Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is AG-3395-S-08-0031 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This is a small-business set-aside and falls under NAICS code 423610. The applicable small business size standard is 100 employees. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor’s Registration database in order to receive an award (www.ccr.gov). Offerors must also provide their DUNS # and TIN # with their quote. DUNS ______________________TIN ________________________ Offerors shall submit prices for Item 001 which is the Generator Set and Item 002 which is an option for the awardee to hold the generator set for up to 90 days. This item should be priced per week for a quantity of 12. Item 001 Generator Setprice each $__________ qty 1 Total $____________ Item 002(opt)Storage/Holdprice per week $_______ qty 12Total $____________ Total $_________________ See the attached specifications titled Emergency/Standby Power Diesel Generator Set. Item 001: Generator set should be ready for pick-up on January 5, 2009. The government anticipates picking up the generator set the week of January 5, 2009. Item 002: This option for storage applies to government pick-up after January 9, 2009. Although actual installation of the generator will take place under a separate contract, the awardee of this contract will be responsible for items in the specifications that must take place during or after installation. Acceptance of the generator will take place after installation and required testing. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors—Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212—2, Evaluation—Commercial Items, applies. In addition to price, the government will consider the technical capability of the item offered to meet the government requirement and past performance. Offerors should submit three references to include point of contact name and phone number with their offer. These references should be customers who have purchased similar items from the offeror. Technical and past performance, when combined, are more important than price. Offerors should include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications—Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions—Commercial Items, applies. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders—Commercial Items applies. The following FAR Clauses apply: 52.219-6, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-25, 52.222-26, 52.222-3652.225-3, 52.225-4, and 52.225-13. Warranty requirements are covered in the specifications. Offers are due at 3:00pm on September 23, 2008 at the office of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest, 5162 Valleypointe Parkway, Roanoke, VA 24019.
