Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY - Solicitations are not available at this time. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for Adult Literacy Instruction Services for inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution located in Memphis, TN. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 611691 (Size Standard: $7.0 million). The requirement is for two (2) Adult Literacy Instructors which normally consist of 624 sessions each annually with one session to equal one (1) hour. The maximum amount of sessions to be worked per week is 30 sessions. The sessions will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., excluding federal holidays. The hours may vary contingently upon the needs of the institution. Instructors should possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Education or closely related field from an accredited college or university. Instructors must have experience teaching adults to read and write and at less one year of experience teaching in a correctional setting or a comparable setting. Proof of qualification must accompany the quote submitted for services. The government contemplates awarding of an indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contract with firm-fixed unit prices resulting from the future solicitation. The contract period will consist of a 12-month base period with four 12- month option periods for renewal. A government solicitation document to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market Research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, the government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on or about September 19, 2008, and will be distributed solely through General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. This site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation and/or amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information regarding this acquisition. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organization can submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The response date for the market survey is September 29, 2008. No collect calls will be accepted. No telephone request or written requests for the Market Survey will be accepted. All responses to the Market Survey Questionnaire may be submitted in hard copy to the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Complex, 346 Marine Forces Drive, Grand Prairie, TX 75051, Attn: E.
