Description
NAICS Code: 811219 The US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Environmental Science Center, Fort Meade, MD intends to award a sole source fixed unit price contract under the authority of FAR Part 12 to Perkin Elmer of Shelton, CT. This acquisition includes all non-expendable parts,materials, equipment, travel and labor necessary to repair the equipment outlined below. This acquisition will be for eleven months to provide a service agreement to maintain the following Perkin Elmer equipment and accessories: (Qty 1) Series 200 Peltier Oven, (Qty 1) Series 200 Auto Samp, (Qty 1) Series 200UV/VISDET, (Qty 1) Series 200 Quatenary Pump, (Qty 1) 5 Channel VACDEGASSE, (Qty 1) Polyscience Chiller, (Qty 1) ELANDRCII This agreement shall provide technical advice and instructions by telephone within four business hours to answer questions and resolve any hardware and/or software problems encountered in analytical applications of the equipment listed above. The agreement further includes on-site remedial and preventive maintenance services which are required within one to two business days of initial service call or preventive maintenance which must be scheduled within two months of the scheduled time for each instrument. Contractor is required to have access to an inventory of replacement parts, tools and instruments as are necessary to efficiently maintain all equipment. Replacement parts shall be delivered on-site within 24 hours or one business day following a request. No refurbished parts are permitted unless authorized in writing by the EPA Project Officer. This agreement includes providing, installing and maintaining updates of the data processing software, together with operating manuals describing and explaining the software and its applications. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements described herein may submit a response; which, if received with within seven calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered.
