- NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic is currently seeking potential sources for services at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Virginia. The scope of work includes but is not limited to: all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation, and management necessary to provide maintenance, replacement, and repair to various utilities related to Steam Distribution, Sewer, Storm Drain, Rehabilitation of Lines, Fresh Water, Compressed Air, Salt Water and Natural Gas Distribution Systems. The Contractor shall provide all provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supervision, safety, surveys, scoping, layout work, testing, and management necessary to fulfill the requirements of task orders issued by the Contracting Officer. The work identified is to be provided by means of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type of contract. This procurement will be handled under Sealed Bid Procedures. The Government may use the two option years to extend the contract for a period of one to 2! 4 months. The total duration, including the exercise / award of any options, shall not exceed 36 months. The maximum award obligated under this contract will not exceed $5,000,000 for the life of the contract (including option years).The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237110, and the size standard is $33,500,000. Offers shall be submitted to perform work for a period of one (1) year. The proposed procurement listed herein is unrestricted and open to all contractors. The IFB will be available in electronic format only (Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)) and will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website on or about October 24, 2008. The estimated proposal due date shall be at least 30 days after the IFB is posted on the NECO website. The site address is http://neco.navy.mil. Notifications of any updates or amendments to the solicitation will be posted on the website only. Contractors are encouraged to register on the NAVFAC NECO website. O! nly registered contractors will be notified by e-mail when amendments to the solicitation are issued. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFEROR TO CONTINUALLY VIEW THE WEBSITE FOR CHANGES. All prospective contractors are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Failure to register in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
