- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SERVICES ATNASA AMES RESEARCH CENTER: Reference: Facilities Maintenance-RFI, which was posted onApril 08, 2008. You are notified that the following changes are made: -The synopsis relating to reference no. Facilities-Maintenance-RFI will be archived andreplaced with a pre-solicitation synopsis identified by the solicitation numberNNA08226867R-CAD under the classification code of Code Z - Maintenance, Repair andAlteration of Real Property. The latest Interested Parties List with any new additionalinformation will be posted with the pre-solicitation synopsis. -The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Ames Research Center (ARC)is planning to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) in the October/November 2008timeframe for the acquisition of ARC's Facilties Maintenance Services (FMS), whichincludes a comprehensive Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program covering thefollowing technical areas: Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, infrastructure utilityservices, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R),environmental services, maintenance engineering, grounds maintenance and building tradeservices. In addition, repairs, improvements, and alterations related to facilitiesmaintenance and support services will be acquired through Indefinite Delivery IndefiniteQuantity (IDIQ) task orders. -This acquisition will be full and open competition with 24% small business goals. Thecontract type is designated as a hybrid, with Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite DeliveryIndefinite Quantity (IDIQ), and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) components anticipated. -For planning purposes, ARC intends to conduct a two day pre-solicitation conferenceafter release of the DRFP. Interested parties are encouraged to monitor the ARC'sBusiness (Doing Business with Ames Research Center) website for additional informationwhich will be posted as it becomes available. -Documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Thesedocuments will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWWbrowser application. The Internet site, or URL, for the NASA/ARC Business Opportunitieshome page is http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=D&pin=21 Offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation andany amendments.
