- The Army Reserve Contracting Center East (ARCCE) intends to solicit and award MIL-SIM-FX International, Inc., 102 Spruce Street Units A & B, Ontario, Canada for the acquisition of various Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The parts consist of: Mounted Convoy Operations, MIL-MCO-IMEESS; Urban Dismounted Operation, MIL-UDO-IMEESS; 155mm Concussive FX VISMOD, MIL-155-PET; 9 ounce C02 Tank; MIL-9R-HFV; C02 Tank Case, MIL-15-TC; Fill Station, MIL-FIL; Directional Charge, MIL-120-DCP8; Mortar UXO Trainer, MIL-20-UXO; Det Cord to Nose Cone IED, MIL-20-NCA; Bomb IED Threat SIM, MIL-20-BMB; 2 Litre PET Plastic Bottle, MIL-PET-SKD; Burst Disc-Low Pressure, MIL-125-BD; Burst Disc-Rubber, MIL-R-BD; 100 Airline Russian Det Cord; MIL-ORG-100; 100 Airline Tan, MIL-TAN-100; 100 Airline Olive Drab, MIL-GRN-100 and MCO IMMESS Support, MIL-MCO-SCS. This acquisition will be processed on a sole source basis IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304 C (1); however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333319. The proposed action is for a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will be posted on or about 24 September 2008 via Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) Acquisition to Business Website located at https://acquisition.army.mil. The solicitation will include Federal Acquisition Regulation contract provisions and a bid schedule.
