- This Notice is a Sources Sought Only. The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, is seeking sources to replace Pumping/Electrical Generating Capability for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) - West Hackberry, Big Hill and Bryan Mound Sites. This Notice is for Sources Sought Only. This is not a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid. Solicitation, Specifications and Drawings are not available. The tracking number for this announcement is W912P8-08-SS-0010. The NAICS code for this proposed acquisition is 333911. The Government will use responses to this Sources Sought synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions regarding the type of procurement to be utilized to obtain these services. The following information is provided: PROJECT INFORMATION: This Sources Sought is for a Barge mounted Booster Pump and Barge Mounted Electrical Generating Capabilities to replace pumping as well as electrical generating capability for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) - West Hackberry, Big Hill and Bryan Mound Sites. Availability requested is thirty (30) calendar days consisting of pumping and/or standby time. Please see the specifications for each requested below: Pumping Requirements: Raw Water Pumping Capability Flow Rate: 964 MBD Pressure: 280 psi Connection: 30-inch flange is recommended for connection to Raw Water Intake Structure Electrical Generation Requirements: Start and maintain voltages and amperages for 1500 HP motors. Voltage: 4,000 Full-Load AMPs: 317 Locked Rotor AMPs: 1,848 Full-Load Efficiency: 0.964 **Please address both the Pumping and Electrical Requirements of this Notice in your response** All interested firms with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements are invited to submit a Capability Statement consisting of the size and type of equipment available and date of availability. Capability Statement should include firm name, address, telephone and fax numbers. IMPORTANT: Submission of a Capabilities Statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Corps in tailoring requirements to be consistent with industry capabilities. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of the evaluation. Statements that do not meet all requirements or submitted within the allotted time will not be considered.
