- This synopsis is for information purposes only. The Federal Protective Service (FPS) intends to issue sole source procurement to the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) located in Alexandria, VA. The requirement is to provide training for 48 participants in security issues at the Federal Protective Service (FPS) Physical Security Training Center. This training will be conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA. The contractor will provide detailed instructional training in the following general areas: Week One: Fundamental of Physical Security (5 days), Week Two: Access Control and Security Design (5 days), and Week Three: Expanded Access Control and Security Design with laboratory training (2 days). There is currently a need to run two of these courses simultaneously. The first course (PSTP-901A) will start on Monday, October 6, 2008 and will conclude on Friday, October 17, 2008. The second course (PSTP-901B) will start on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 and will conclude on Saturday, October 18, 2008. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561621, SIN 426-4F-84 Emergency Preparedness and First Responder Equipment, Training and Services.
