Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture proposes to procure Janitorial Services for the USDA-ARS located in Houma, LA. The contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision perform these services for the time period of December 1, 2008 thru September 30, 2009. The work shall be performed at the USDA, ARS, located at 5883 USDA Road, Houma, LA 70360. "This procurement requires the use of biobased products to the extent that such products are reasonably available, meet agency or relevant industry performance standards, and are reasonably priced. Where available, these products should first be acquired from among qualified products that fall under the umbrella of items designated through the Federal Biobased Products Preferred Procurement Program (FB4P)" An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about October 14, 2008 with all bids being due at 2:00 p.m. November 13, 2008. These dates are tentative and will be specified in the IFB package. All requests for bid packages must be submitted in writing, faxed to (662) 686-5373 or by electronic mail to: terry.jones@ars.usda.gov. No calls will be accepted.
