- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Northwest Mountain Region is soliciting competitive proposals for Janitorial Services the Boise Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) that includes the base building, and Automated Flight Service Station (AFSS) in Boise, ID. This procurement will be 100% set-aside for Small Business firms NAICS code 561720 (Janitorial Services). Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractors Registration in order to qualify for award. The Boise ATCT has approximately 1,800 square feet of floor space consisting of hallways, stairways, administrative offices, operational areas, equipment rooms, storage rooms, restrooms, training room, and a tower cab. The ATCT base building has approximately 2,000 square feet of floor space consisting of administrative offices, hallways, equipment room, storage room, and restrooms. The AFSS has approximately 10,000 square of floor space consisting of administrative offices, hallways, stairways, operational areas, equipment rooms, storage rooms, restrooms, closets, and an entrance way. The estimated dollar value is between $150,000.00 - $250,000.00. The award will have a Base Contract period of January 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009, with four (4) one year (1) option periods. Response to the solicitation is required by 10/27/08. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
