Description
Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS) is conducting a market survey to determine industries capabilities to provide SACON (Shock Absorbing Concrete) MOUT Capabilities. The scope of the effort entails performing a mix of design, fabrication, installation, integration, verification and fielding of the Live Fire MOUT structures or appurtenances at Marine Corps installations: Twenty-nine Palms, CA; Camp Lejeune, NC; Quantico, VA; and, Camp Pendleton, CA. All items shall be COTS, Commercial and Over the Shelf. Extensive studies by the Marine Corps War-fighting Laboratory has shown that units trained using live-fire techniques are more successful within the urban battle space and suffer fewer casualties. This training is required to ensure Marines are properly trained prior to deployment for real world military operations.
