- Description
- This is a Request for Information (RFI) from interested sources and response to this RFI is voluntary and at the contractor's expense. The Government is seeking qualified sources with specific and recent experience to provide Preventive and Remedial Maintenance on Government-owned Neax 2400 Internet Protocol Exchange (IPX) Switching System located at Marine Corps Technology Services Organization, Bannister Complex Building 2306, Bannister Road, Kansas City, MO. The equipment shall be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's best commercial practices, and in a condition which permits the required functions to be performed and to prevent deteriorating in value and usability. A full-time on-site qualified technician is required. The system configuration is attached. NAICS 517919 is anticipated with a size standard of $25 million.Industry responses to this RFI may determine the Government's acquisition strategy. Responses shall explain in detail: (1) the contractor's specific and unique experience with regards to the maintenance of the Neax 2400 IPX system, to include the period of warranty on all contractor repairs; (2) a reference list of specific Neax maintenance contracts within the past three (3) years, to include contract number, dollar value, a brief description of services, and points of contact with phone number; (3) information related to the contractor's business size and socioeconomic status; (4) a statement as to the contractor's willingness to provide pricing for either a Base plus 2 years or a Base plus 4 year option periods; (5) a copy of the GSA Federal Supply Schedule if the contractor has a GSA contract and if these services are covered under the contractor's GSA FSS; and (6) a statement as to the capability of providing contractor employees with individual security clearances if! required. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, and it does not constitute a solicitation and should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Interested parties having the required experience and skills to meet all the above requirements are invited to submit a written capability statement to carol.amano@usmc.mil by 15 October 2008 at midnight Pacific Time.
