Description

This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), citizenship & Immigration Service (CIS) intends to contract with the Tampa Convention Center 333 S. Franklin Street, Tampa, FL 33602 for 14 dates for Naturalization ceremony use throughout fiscal year 2009. An acceptable facility shall accommodate approximately 2,000 people and in addition to the rental of the hall itself, shall include chairs & tables, USA & Florida flags, display of USCIS provided agency flag, stage lights, lectern & microphone, drapes, traffic officer, security guards, stagehand/sound operator, if needed, electricity, video presentation equipment and operator, including LCD projector (VHS backup), custodial services, handicapped access, and located within the Tampa area. Dates of service required are for October 8, 27, November 24, December 5, 12, 2008, January 6, February 23, March 11, April 15, May 14, June 17, July 17, August 14, September 21,2009. Firm, fixed rate for a period of one year. Service will be provided to: USCIS, Tampa District Office Department of Homeland Security, Citizenship & Immigration Services 5524 West Cypress Street, Tampa Florida 33607.This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the Tampa Convention Center under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis unless alternate sources are located.
