- Description: The 6th Contracting Squadron (6 CONS) at MacDill AFB issues this Sources Sought Synopsis for information and planning purposes only. This synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the government nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to identify potential sources that are interested in and capable of providing the services described herein. As a result of this Sources Sought, 6 CONS may issue a Solicitation/Request for Proposal (RFP). However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against 6 CONS shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought (e.g., use of such information as either part of its evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement). GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The 6th Contracting Squadron is seeking vendors who can afford the following: Provide 4 each - 55 passenger buses and 2 each 27- passenger buses for Change of Command Ceremony at MacDill AFB, FL. The period of performance will be 31 October thru 1 November 2008 from 5:00am thru 6:00pm. The potential requirement is for 4 and 2 buses respectively, but may be reduced or increased within 72 hours of period of performance. This requirement includes but is not limited to the following specifications. 1. All vehicles shall be of late model design (2006/2008) with current valid registration and insurance 2. Vehicles shall be delivered, clean inside and out with a full tank of fuel 3. Vehicles shall be delivered to/from MacDill AFB with current chauffeur licensed drivers prepared to work up to 13 hours. 4. Vendor shall provide 24 hour breakdown service (with replacement if required) 5. Vehicles and drivers will be screened at installation point of entry for valid registration, insurance, and licenses. Special Provisions: The Government intends to award one contract to the offer providing the best value to the Government. The offeror must be able to accept a government purchase order and be able to process invoices through Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Use of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) is not authorized.
